Life Line Screening was founded in 1993 and has been growing ever since. Below are just some of the important events in our company’s history.

1993
Life Line Screening services begin in Florida.
1996
More Americans begin to understand the importance of preventive health screenings. To meet the increased demand, Life Line Screening begins to expand its services to the rest of the country, focusing first on the Midwest.

Life Line Screening conducts first quality study with the University of South Florida, to ensure the accuracy and validity of their preventive screenings, providing exceptional healthcare services to its customers. The study found Life Line Screening’s services to be of the same standards as those offered in clinical laboratories.

Recognition of the positive value of preventive screenings begins to increase. Life Line Screening starts expanding services throughout the United States to meet the needs of its customers and healthcare partners, offering screenings to more than 500,000 people.

A second quality study is conducted side-by-side with the renowned Cleveland Clinic, re-affirming the accuracy and validity of Life Line Screening’s services.

To further meet the continually growing demand of health-conscious Americans, Life Line Screening becomes the first screening service to provide screenings coast-to-coast.

Life Line Screening reaches the milestone of screening 1 million people.

Life Line Screening reaches 5 million people screened offering 20,000 events annually.

Virtually painless finger-stick blood testing is added to Life Line Screening’s services to screen for complete cholesterol count (lipid panel), diabetes (glucose), and inflammation (C-reactive protein).

Life Line Screening funds a K23 Award, a research grant offered through the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), and the American Vascular Association (AVA). The AVA is the philanthropic arm of the Society for Vascular Surgery. The grant provides funding to facilitate careers in patient-oriented vascular research.

Life Line Screening launches preventive health screening services in the United Kingdom to help international customers discover previously undetected disease.
