Established in 1865, CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center has been providing medical care and treatment to the residents of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico for 145 years. It is the only Level III Trauma center in north central/north eastern New Mexico serving the 19,000 square-mile area covering seven counties. It is classified as a sole community provider and is JCAHO accredited. Originally founded by the Catholic Sisters of Charity, CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a non-profit regional medical center with 272 licensed beds and over 250 staff physicians representing 34 medical specialties. CHRISTUS St. Vincent also donated $154,000 in approximate free flu shots to our community residents.

CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center
Established in 1865, CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center has been providing medical care and treatment to the residents of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico for 145 years. It is the only Level III Trauma center in north central/north eastern New Mexico serving the 19,000 square-mile area covering seven counties. It is classified as a sole community provider and is JCAHO accredited. Originally founded by the Catholic Sisters of Charity, CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a non-profit regional medical center with 272 licensed beds and over 250 staff physicians representing 34 medical specialties. It’s the largest medical facility serving residents north of Albuquerque and south of Pueblo, Colorado. CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center was the first medical center in the State of New Mexico, and proudly continues to improve lives by providing quality health care to all residents regardless of their ability to pay.
In 2009 we provided $41 million in uncompensated care to patients unable to afford hospital care or whose insurance did not cover the cost of their care. We donated $16 million to smaller community non-profit agencies that provide valuable assistance such as rape crisis, suicide prevention, medical clinics, homeless shelters and mobile health vans. CHRISTUS St. Vincent also donated $154,000 in approximate free flu shots to our community residents.
