I was recently contacted about one of my screenings. I found the person on the other line to be highly professional. It is very refreshing to see such a level of excellence still in the market place today. I search out companies that give me such service. Thank you for all you do.. You have been a big help to me and several other members of my family. And a special thank you to the lady who not only called me back but helped get my other family members involved. It saved their life. I believe her name was Beverly.

Have a good day. I am an Ultrasonographer in my hometowm hospital here in Philipines & I have read about lifeline screening. I am very amazed to all the services you have and have gratefully blessed to help individual illness in your country...through reading in your site about the theories and watching of its educational videos, I have learned a lot...Hope your company will be more bless and continue to help determine an individual illness to correct & cure them early...very Proud for you...Thank you...

Marina - Thank you for your question/comment regarding our Atrial Fibrillation screening. You are correct in that our screening can only detect Atrial Fibrillation if the person’s heart rhythm is in afib at the time of our screening. As you mentioned, there are different types of atrial fibrillation. Paroxysmal afib (what you have) is defined by recurrent episodes, usually less than 7 days, that resolve on their own. With persistent afib, the recurrent episodes typically last more than 7 days. In permanent afib, the person is in afib all the time. Our screening is most beneficial in detecting afib in people with persistent or permanent atrial fibrillation. Someone with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation would have to be having an afib episode at the time of our screening for us to detect it.

I left a comment yesterday 1/11/2010, Monday with a question regarding your Atrial Fibrillation Screening. Doesn't someone have to be in Atrial Fibrillation when doing the EKG in order for the test to show the person has Atrial Fibrillation?
