Your Snoring Solutions RevealedWe asked for your tips for reducing snoring and you delivered. Take a look at the submissions and see if they might work for you or someone you love.

Since people who snored more often were much more likely to have carotid atherosclerosis, the solution you choose could be helpful in more ways than one.

  • Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine.
  • Weight loss and exercise.
  • Sleep with a tennis ball sown on the back of your t-shirt. The tennis ball keeps you from rolling over on my back, thus no more snoring.
  • Surgery to correct a deviated septum.
  • SnorBan - a device that holds the jaw forward and opens the throat.
  • BreatheRite nasal strips.
  • Low-carbohydrate diet.
  • Snore Stop spray from the pharmacy.
  • Get a sleep evaluation by a physician certified in sleep disorders.
  • Bring a floor fan in the room and run it on medium or high depending on how bad the snoring is.
  • Sleep on more than one pillow to keep off your back.
  • Nikken Magnetic Pillow and Magnetic Sleep Mask.
  • Bite guard mouth piece which pulls your bottom jaw forward opening your passageway that you might breathe without obstruction.
  • Got an adjustable bed, the head raising of the bed greatly decreases snoring.
  • Omega 3 oils in your diet.
  • Tape your mouth shut each night with a small piece of painter's tape. This tape is strong, but isn't harmful in any way to the skin.
  • Use an oxygen concentrator every night.
  • When snoring is related to sinus congestion, rinse the nose and gargle before retiring with a solution of 1 cup warm water and 1/4 teaspoon each of seasalt, honey, and cider vinegar.
  • Use an orthodontal retainer to keep lower jaw forward when you sleep.
  • Put Vaseline in my nostrils at bedtime.
  • Sleep on a wedge pillow to keep the head elevated.
