Anaheim, CA – On November 4th-6th, Life Line Screening will be offering attendees at the 53rd Annual Employee Benefits Conference a complimentary carotid artery screening to launch their “Uniting Unions to Stamp Out Stroke” program.

Blockages in the carotid arteries are a leading cause of stroke. The screenings, using painless Doppler ultrasound technology, can identify blockages before a stroke occurs.

Life Line Screening plans to partner with hundreds of unions across the country to increase awareness of stroke prevention through local community educational seminars and stroke screenings. Members of participating unions will be offered a discount on the preventive screenings. Many union partners are considering coverage of the screening cost as a new benefit for their members to increase participation in the program.
